We are launching a new feature this week: a leaderboard!
Mission Scores
Each player is assigned a mission score upon successfully completing a mission. But how do we calculate missions scores?
Hints Requested
Whenever a player requests a hint from our online hint system, we take it into consideration for the mission score. If a certain amount of hints is requested, the mission score is slightly lowered.
We do want players to take hints – it’s a more enjoyable experience for players to request hints rather than get frustrated – so not every hint taken will reduce the mission score.
“Wrong” Answers
Our games are immersive and interactive, meaning our players will interact with websites and characters. We can track if players solve certain puzzles on the first try or if they need multiple attempts to complete a puzzle. Whenever a player tries too many incorrect solutions, the mission score is slightly lowered.
Again, we do want our players to interact freely with the game world we created, so not all incorrect interactions will affect the mission score.
Have fun, challenge your friends!
Our goal with the leaderboard and mission scores is for you to have fun! If it’s something you enjoy, post your mission score online and challenge your friends to beat it.
